The Royal Mint has expanded its Harry Potter coin collection with the release of a new 50p coin featuring the iconic flying Ford Anglia from “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”. The base metal version, struck in cupro-nickel, weighs 8 grams and measures 27.30 millimeters in diameter.
The reverse design, crafted by Bella Biggs, vividly depicts the enchanted Ford Anglia in mid-flight. On the obverse, Martin Jennings’ effigy of King Charles III is featured. This coloured cupro-nickel release has a mintage of just 10,000 coins.
